Top Purity Palladium(II) chloride 7647-10-1 Usage

Palladium chloride is a commonly used precious metal catalysts, Palladium(II) chloride(PdCl2°) is a dark brown color and is used to coat other metals without the need for electrolysis. The use of palladium (II) chloride as a complexing agent for the quantitation of drugs is fairly wide. It is also used in photography, to make indelible inks, and as a catalyst in analytical chemistry (used to speed up or slow down chemical reactions). Spectroscopic measurements of palladium(II) chloride solutions have been performed under ambient to elevated temperature conditions with systematic changes in pH and [Cl−1].

In this study, effort has been given to recover palladium (Pd(II)) from ceramic capacitor using solvent-ligand process with a focus on environmental sustainability. The selective leaching of metallic palladium from ceramic capacitor of waste personal computers was proposed by using a novel ligand 3–(((5–ethoxybenzenethiol)imino)methyl)–salicylic acid.

In this context, palladium can also be a better alternative for platinum as anticancer drug because of their coordination capability, thermodynamical, structural and chemical similarities. Consequently, new derivatives of palladium(II) complexes may be designed to enhance anticancer activity and reduce toxicity.
