DTPA-5Na is clear light yellow solution, which is most likely to be absorbed by barium sulfate. Diethylenetriamine penta-acetic acid salt (DTPA-5Na) may be used in a competitive indirect enzyme-linked immunoassay for the quantitative measurement of lead ions. It may be used in one-step immunochromatographic assay (ICA) for the fast detection of lead ions in water samples. The decomposed product C 3 N from DTPA-5Na would deposit in the electrode.
