Structures of these compounds were elucidated by extensive MS and NMR spectroscopic analyses. Compound 1 displayed anti-HSV-1 activity with an IC50 value of 7.2 μM. Compound 3 exhibited activity against Plasmodium falciparum K1 with an IC 50 value of 9.9 μM.
